What's the Tour de Bulb?
The "Tour de Bulb", is a four-city tour of South Carolina in which last year's winners will pass the torch of creativity and business innovation to other South Carolina citizens. Local celebrities, business leaders, politicians and 2007 winners will carry the "light bulb torch" and be transported by an official Plug-In Hybrid vehicle through the main city streets of Greenville, Columbia, Florence and Charleston.
The tour kicks off in Greenville South Carolina.
All Tour de Bulb events will take place at noon and dates and locations are as follows:
- Greenville: Monday, January 28, Falls Park on the Reedy; hosted by Mayor Knox White
- Columbia: Wednesday, January 30, 1201 Main Street Capitol Center plaza; hosted by Mayor Bob Coble
- Florence: Thursday, January 31, Florence Mall; hosted by DJ Dan E. Lockemy with Eagle 92.9 and Sunny 105.5
- Charleston: Friday, February 1, Waterfront Park
